Business Law question

Johnny verbally contracts to work with Jimmy for three-years. After Johnny  starts work, Jimmy fires him without cause. Johnny  sues Jimmy for breach of contract. Is Johnny likely to recover under the contract? Is there some other legal theory that might support a legal recovery?

Tom enters into a contract with John. The contract is for John to repair Tom’s car for $600. What are John’s rights and duties? What are Tom’s rights and duties? If the contract expressly prohibits any assignment, can John assign his right to payment?
