Grant Proposal and Presentation

Imagine that you are part of the planning unit in your local police department. The chief of police has told you that a philanthropist in town is considering giving a $100,000 grant to a worthy cause in the department. The chief has charged your team with deciding how, when, and where that money will be spent. The team is made of 4 people including yourself. Each one of you will be able to spend $25,000. Create a detailed proposal and a presentation on your proposal, as well as an executive summary of your budget plan.

• • • The proposal must be between 1,750 and 2,450 words.
    • The presentation must be approximately 20 minutes in length and include 15 to 20 slides.
    • Format your presentation consistent with APA guidelines.

Tasks:

Each one of us is going to write about using 25k for an item/training (4 of us, 25k each = 100k) We will be splitting our 100k into 4 things.  Pick one item/training to invest 25k into and follow the above steps.  In addition to writing your 300 word part, you will create 3 to 4 slides based on what you wrote about.

If we happen to have two or more people choose the same thing, its ok, we will just increase the grant from 25k to 50k (2 people) and combined information as one.
