Social Media Memo Exercise

You are the assistant HR manager for a municipality of 100,000 residents.  The HR manager and the city manager, both with limited to non existent knowledge of social media and the internet, come back from a national conference and announce “Every other city is on this twitter thing! We need to get on this!!!”  The HR manager and city manager ask you to write a 1-2 (single spaced) memo that outlines 1) the challenges and opportunities for using social media (both municipal accounts and employees personal accounts) and 2) any best practices and suggested guidelines for using social media.
