Topic Selection and Thesis Statement

 Cloning has been a pinnacle debate in the science community since its discovery, asking the question are we tampering with the natural order of creation.Stem cell research is regarded as the next path to eradicating deadly diseases and disorders. It seems very dangerous to clone humans, which based on history in regards to racism, social-economic barriers, and slavery; surely will create an opportunity to view the new species as second class humans. But limited genetic research on gene sequencing and genetic coding on an adaptive level will help unlock answers to our own species. But we can’t be sure what opportunity for genetic mutation until there are enough generations of case study.

Cloning is a leading scientific area of study, but Einstein theory to defy the law of nature to split an atom has cause a range of uses including carbonated beverages to an atomic nuclear .bomb. So clearly history shows what is created for the advancement of man, can lead him also to ruin when vision is clouded by greed. Therefore, I feel we must continue to ban human cloning, and only use cloning strictly for stem cell research and medical use or to harvest vital organ for human transplants.

    In this assignment, you will create an outline of the main points of the sociological issues in which you are interested. This will serve as the basis for your Assignment 1.4: Investigate a Social Issue Final Paper. (Note: Students please use the Purdue Owl Website to assist you with this assignment.     Write a one to two (1-2) page outline in which you:

    1. Restate your thesis statement and its overarching main points.
    2. Determine three (3) main points related to the sociological event you have chosen.
    3. Explore each of the three (3) main points you have illustrated and provide at least two (2) examples that support each of your main points.  (Note: You can explore them in order of importance, chronologically, or compare / contrast.)
    4. Determine counter arguments and provide examples of why these arguments should be examined in relation to the main points being explored. 
    5. Conclude your outline with a summary of the thesis statement, main points, and counter argument(s).
    6. Use three (3) credible sources and APA citations where appropriate.

    Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

    • Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; citations and references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
    • Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required assignment page length.
