Risks and their management are critical to the successful completion of any project. Think about the ten “Knowledge Areas” of Project Management that we have discussed in class. With those as a starting point, describe two different kinds of risks that an IT project might face. Example: One knowledge area is Project Quality Management. A potential risk to any IT project is the risk that the quality of work produced by the project team does not meet the quality standards defined for the project. Think of two more in different knowledge areas. Then give a brief description of steps you could take to deal with that risk, and state whether those steps mitigate, accept, transfer or avoid it.
