Social Media is an every growing forum in which people post, document, detail, comment, etc., on things going on in their lives. As you know, this may include anything from local, national and international events and news to intimate personal details. Such can also detail one’s current location or previous locations.

Do you think information posted on social media pages should be fair game for utilization in a criminal prosecution? Why or why not? Under what circumstances would it be appropriate to use it? Under what circumstances would it be inappropriate to use it? Should it matter if it was not the individual being prosecuted that posted the comment or picture?
