• Briefly describe 5 product/service ideas that could address the customer problem (This will be the output or results of round one of your brainstorming and creation activity. In this paper summarize the concepts of your top 5 ideas. )
• Develop and define criteria your team used to assess the product ideas (Teams should determine these criteria before conducting round 2 of your creation exercise.)
• Using your criteria, rank each of the product concepts from one to five with one being most likely to meet customer needs
• Explain why you ranked each concept the way you did
• Summarize your decision with a description of the good or service you intend to offer and a rationale for why that will meet the customer needs
• Provide a Value Proposition that succinctly states the customer need and the solution offer.

Other things to consider:The assignment asks you to briefly describe 5 product/service ideas that your team considered as a solution for your problem. Why 5? Because if you track all the different versions of your solution idea that your team talked about (possibly with the Whiteboard tool), it is likely that you looked at more than five ideas. It is not necessary to describe every idea but only the top 5. And if you did not come up with at least that many concepts you probably limited the creative thinking you put into the project. Review the design thinking topics and challenge your team to push your boundaries and thinking a bit more so that your solution offers a unique and innovative approach to solving the problem.This paper will include information about your team experience. So as you are working together to develop product concepts be sure to note the processes you followed and the criteria you developed for making decisions. Why? Because developing a single concept for a single course does not make you more proficient in business. Learning the processes of collaborating on ideas will!The assignment instructions state you will include a value proposition. Be sure to read and follow the course information about value propositions. Note that a value proposition is NOT advertising hype. Remember the challenge of developing a simple, direct problem statement? The value proposition is a simple, direct equation that states the problem and then the solution you will offer to address that problem. No flowery product description. Problem = solution. The value proposition is a short but very important part of this assignment. When you provide the product/service summary be sure to address product components noted in the “product definition” section of the course material such as design, features, packaging, brand, quality, etc. You don’t have to address every question in the capabilities, customer, and component view lists but include the most relevant ones and cover most if not all the component topics.
